Roy Assaf
Dancer and Artistic assistant

Born in Israel in 1982.
Studied dance at the Shivtey Israel Dance School in Kiryat-Gat. Following his military service
(2000–03) he joined Emanuel Gat Dance, and later created his first work for the 2005
Shades of Dance Festival, for which he received first prize.

Roy Assaf has danced in all of the company’s creations, and since 2006, has worked alongside Emanuel Gat as an artistic assistant, re-staging works for other companies and collaborating on the development of new works.
