It’s for your own good

The best interest of the work is directly aligned with the best interest of the dancers involved. This is a given.

The best interest of the maker though, isn’t tied up to both and so is more a matter of choice. The maker can choose to dis-align with both the dancers and the work, while still putting their own best interest first.

The option to choose this misalignment, is the result of highly centralized systems, which are always the breeding grounds for charlatans, scammers and power hungry psychopaths.

Education on decentralized choreographic models, is the most burning issue for the field as a whole.
