Any human made system, is bound to produce the outcome that is coded into its core design. It is the system itself that engineer the results to an overwhelming large degree.
No individual within the system, can have a meaningful impact on said outcome.
The distribution and allocation of all ressources within a system, as well as that of any consequent value created, is determined at the base layer of the design itself of the system and therefore, can not be influenced in any impactful manner by anyone operating inside the system.
Change can only be achieved then by either altering the design of the system at the base layer, or by replacing it altogether with a new alternative system.
Until this fundamental truth isn’t deeply integrated into the choreographic field, makers will keep profiteering from broken and corrupted systems, while dancers and the art form as a whole keep paying the price.
