If it walks like a duck…

The tendency to homogenize everything and everyone, is the biggest enemy of the choreographic art form.

Eliminating differences is the laziest form of managing humans. It is also the most violent and destructive one.

In nature, harmony is always the result of a system balancing itself through the presence of different substances and opposing forces.

In the political realm the elimination of differences translates to communism, fascism or any other totalitarian form of governance.

It is the systemic and visual manifestation of leadership through force, fear and coercion, rather than that of substance, creativity and meaning.

If everyone talk the same and walk the same, it’s a military march, not an art work.
