While the Space/Time properties of the choreographic thing remain the core dimensions to be explored and understood, it is actually Probability, which holds the key to why the simple act of organizing human action through time and space can be regarded as an art form.
Understanding the nature of probability is what allows for the transmutation of the choreographic thing from its basic state as a straight forward compositional practice into a higher form - an actual living thing, which only then can be referred to as Art.
Funny enough, this is the main reason why random sport events, games and matches, hold more artistic value than most ‘choreographic works’ out there, which are prone to prioritize safety, convenience and predictability of outcome.
For choreography to become art, probability as a fundamental dimension of reality itself, has to be allowed into the equation of what constitute a choreographic thing in the first place.
